Mikey bounced into the world, the only boy from Storms second litter and as soon as he was on his feet it was clear he was going to be something rather special. His lust for life was extraordinary always eager to please and once he was old enough his passion for the trails was something any musher could only dream of from a lead dog, he would run his heart out every time, and take charge of the team.

Part of the our two dog team with litter sister Misty and in later years four dog team nephew & niece Sid & Echo winning the majority of his races and always in the top three when competition was at the highest here in the UK, Winning the most prestigious Fastest All malamute team at Aviemore two years on the run, Top Working Malamute & BSHRA Championship were highlights. They had become legendary at the rallies and on the working scene.

Mikey showed great potential in the show ring too being such a great moving boy he certainly turned some heads. Winning many best Puppy in Breed, Limit at Crufts and Reserve Best in Show at the Alaskan Malamute Speciality Show where some of the most memorable highlights. His enthusiasm often made showing Fun or should I say ‘Funny’ but everyone loved his character. In 2009 Mikey sired his one and only litter producing top winning & UK Champion ‘Millie’

As Mikey reached Maturity he developed a coat condition and we subsequently retired him from the show ring although he continued to strive on the trails & enjoy being leader of the pack at home he was nicknamed ‘The Gaffer’ Loved belly rubs, sneaky cuddles, Baileys and Squirty Cream were his guilty pleasures

Christmas 2017 left us shell shocked & heartbroken when at the age of ten Mikey suddenly took a turn for the worse and subsequently passed away. We felt it wasn’t his time and continue to miss him terribily.
