2013 see our kennel with a UK CHAMPION, 7 CC’S, 1 BOB, and 2 RCC’S

Manchester CH Show, another great result for Echo winning her class then going on to gain her 2nd CC. Breeze won the veteran class under judge Ann Arch.

Then we were straight of for our annual holiday in Aviemore where we competed in the country’s largest sled dog race gaining second in the C2 and third highest placed All Malamute team in the E2 class.

Kershope, Sherwood & Langdale saw both teams having great runs, both teams were fastest Malamute teams in their class. Taking four dogs to Crufts is always a challenge but no the less we managed it, was first up was Timmy who was placed third in Post Graduate, next was Sid winning Limit Dog handled as always by Sarah, Breeze handled by Wayne Won Veteran Bitch, Echo won the Limit Bitch class. Needless to say we were over the moon with the days results.

MOYA AWARDS 2012 results are out – Echo RUNNER UP TOP MALAMUTE AND RUNNER UP TOP BITCH, Misty TOP BROOD BITCH, Breeze 5th Veteran, Sid 9th overall Top Malamute & 5th Top Dog.

WELKS was a day to remember under Judge Liz Dunhill, Sid was placed third in Limit Dog, Echo and Breeze both won their class. Echo went on to win her 3rd CC and this crowned her a CHAMPION.

I was also co-opted onto the Alaskan Malamute Club UK committee. Work commitments meant a couple of shows were missed but a lovely weekend in Scotland at SKC with Sid, Echo & Breeze, Sid was placed second in limit, Echo wins her class and Breeze is placed second. Echo gained her 4th CC in some tough competition, The next outing was Bath, just Breeze and Timmy for this one, Breeze won her veteran class and Timmy was placed third in a huge Post Graduate class.

My first judging appointment at Crewe and District Canine Society, A very enjoyable day and some lovely dogs to go over.

Border Union with Sid and Echo was next, lots of fun making a weekend of it with Sarah & Shirley, Sarah handled Sid wgaining the RCC, Echo gained her 4th CC we all floated all home. Thank you to the Judge Mr T Nagrecha.

Blackpool was a busy day star of the show was Misty who won her class.

East of England was a day never to forget, Sid won limit dog and then went on to win his 1st CC. Handled to perfection by Sarah, At this point I thought my day couldn’t get any better but Echo won a huge very strong Open Bitch class and then went on to win her 6th CC, I was so proud to have these litter mates do battle for BEST OF BREED which went to Echo. Many thanks to breed specialist Nicola Singh for this truly amazing day. ….Litter brother and sister DOG CC & BITCH CC!!

The Club Specialty show was a fun day although I was unable to handle due to injuring my leg, Luckily fellow exhibitors (& Wayne stepped in) Breeze won veteran Bitch, Misty was placed third in limit and Echo won Open Bitch who then went on to win Best Bitch, Best Opposite Sex and Reserve Best In Show. Huge thank you to fellow exhibitor Simon Molloy (Wintablizard) for handling Echo and Wayne for handling Breeze and Misty.

Bournmouth was an enjoyable show Echo and Breeze both won their class and Sid was placed second in his class, Echo went on to gain a RCC. Judge Mrs S Pollock-Yule.

Darlington was a lovely show Echo was placed second in Open Bitch , Sid third in Open Dog, Timmy made a rare appearance getting a forth place and Breeze won Veteran Bitch, Best Veteran In Breed and then went on to gain Veteran Working Group 4, what a wonderful day.

The Alaskan Malamute Speciality Show was at the end of September, We were delighted with Breeze who won her Veteran Class and Echo was placed 2nd, Timmy made a rare appearance in the show ring gaining third place.

Midland Counties CH Show see Echo win her 7th CC under Judge Mr J Luscott .

First rally of the season was Forest of Dean.Timmy Wiz & Gracie our three Dog team win the class, as Wayne had to go alone is was only feasible to run one team. Lisa had a judging appointment and was lucky enough to have an entry of over 20 dogs.

LKA CH Show was the following week, Echo & Breeze was placed in their classes, but Sid had a fantastic day winning Open Dog and subsequently the RCC, this being his third, handled by Sarah Towers, under Judge Mr R Newhouse.

Forest of Dean Rally followed where both our teams were the highest placed all Malamutes.

Our annual holiday was upon us again up in Aviemore, Wayne ran the four dog and three dog teams. Misty Mikey Sid & Echo camed winning the highest placed All Malamute Team in the C2 . The Muskets did a great job placing 2nd highest placed All Malamute Team)

SHCGB Grimsthorpe, Sherwood & Pembrey saw top awards again on the trails with our dogs claiming the fastest All Malamute Team wins. Our rally season was however cut short as Wayne Injured his back, whilst we were disappointed to miss the end of the season, we were thrilled to hear Wayne had won the MS class (3 dogs +) Championship with Misty, Mikey, Sid and Echo.

Crufts was a busy day for us taking 5 dogs, we were over the moon to have some top placings in some very strong and large classes against international competition.

The Malamute of the year (MOYA) points were announced, It is always nice to see our breeding represented here and this year we were thrilled to have our dogs in the TOP placing in both the showing and working points.

SKC CH Show we had a fab day, just taking Echo who won the RCC out of the yearling class under Breed Specialist Judge Mrs S Smith.

At the Alaskan Malamute Speciality Show we had a great day with great nice placments with Echo & Kavaanni both winning their classes.

At East Of England CH Show Sarah handles Sid to WIN the class and I handled Brother Kavaanni to WIN Limit dog class gaining his STUDBOOK NUMBER, with sister Echo picking up 2nd place.

Leeds CH Show was another great result with Echo winning BEST BITCH & BOB under well respected Judge Mrs C Chapman and was later shortlisted in the Working Group, Brother Kavaani won the Limit Dog class.

Sid was once again handled by Sarah Towers at City Of Birmingham CH Show to win the RCC under Breed Specialist Judge Mr J Phillips. Thanks Sarah Towers for superbly handling Sid.

A Long but fun day at Darlington our Judge Mr Frank Kane saw Litter-mates Sid, Echo & Kavaanni all WIN their classes, Kavaanni went on to win the RESERVE BEST DOG RCC !!!! and then to win the RCC WINNERS STAKES CLASS.

At Driffield CH Show Sid is BEST DOG & BEST OF BREED and Echo takes RESERVE BEST BITCH! Thanks to our judge Bridgette Bodle for thinking so highly of our dogs.

At the Alaskan Malamute Speciality CH Show “Sid” won the Mid Limit class, brother “Kavaanni” won the big limit dog class and sister “Echo” won Mid limit bitch. Our little Wizz won Post graduate bitch qualifying her for Crufts 2013, She has only been shown a few times so this was a lovely surprise for us, Breeze won a strong Veteran Class …..all in all a great day for our Kennel with 5 class wins!!!

Scotland Working & Pastoral Champ Show, Sid placed second in Open Dog, Echo Winning Post Grad and Breeze winning Veteran and also placed second in the Veteran Stakes. On the same day Wayne took the muskets to Delemere Rally and ran in the Sibe class having a super run, Misty & Mikey ran in the D2 class.

LKA was a fantastic day for us Echo won Limit Bitch and went on to get the FIRST CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE, Breeze won the Veteran Bitch handled superbly at a minutes notice by Sarah Towers went on to win the RESERVE CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE. Thank you to Judge Dave Killilea for thinking so highly of our dogs and for recognising something special in Echo…..What a day to remember!!!

Not forgetting Wayne who along with Simon Molloy & Neil Bebb raised almost £1800 for Alaskan Malamute Rescue by having his chest waxed.

2011 see our Kennel win 1 CC, 1 RCC, WPG3, BPISS, BJISS & MULTI BB’S & BPIB’S

We were all set to get to some rallies this year, Sherwood as first on the list however, the evening before Misty was clearly under the weather, a trip to the vets revealed Misty had been up to her old tricks and stolen and swallowed a tea towel from a very high ledge. Major surgery followed and thank goodness Misty was okay, so at Aviemore so Breeze boldly stepped up to the mark and filled her harness!!!!! We were thrilled and shocked that the team ended up in 6th place. The pups enjoyed the atmosphere of the race days and lots of nice walks in the week.

Next few of shows saw Sid win several BEST PUPPY IN BREED & WORKING PUPPY GROUP PLACINGS.

At Birmingham National CH Show Sid (Arcticbreeze Midnite Hero) won BEST PUPPY DOG, with is sister Echo (Arcticbreeze Midnite Echo) winning BEST PUPPY IN BREED & PUPPY WORKING GROUP 3.

Another top day at the Alaskan Malamute Specialty Club Show we had a great day with great results!!! “Sid” (Arcticbreeze Midnite Hero) won his class, BEST PUPPY DOG & then went on to be crowned BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!!!!! Wayne showed off his handling WINNING THE TEAM CLASS which is showing three dogs plus at the same time.

A day to remember at The Scottish Kennel Club CC show under Judge Mr F Kane, This was the first show for Breeze (Arcticbreeze Lady Imocara) for a good while, we were absolutely thrilled when she won an extremely strong Open Bitch Class and was awarded her FIRST CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE. Breeze and Storm also won the Brace class. Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better Echo (Arcticbreeze Midnite Echo) took BEST PUPPY IN BREED!!! A successful summer followed with super results for all our dogs, Breeze won her 2nd RCC, RBB & BB awards. The Alaskan Malamute specialty club show saw Kavaanni go BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW!!

AMWA Thetford Forest was the first race for the youngsters Sid, Echo, Timmy & Gracie. What a fab start Misty Mikey Sid & Echo as 4 dog winning MS class, The three Musketeers Team Wizz,Timmy and Gracie compete in a three dog freighting class for the first time placed 2nd and fastest All Malamute Team. Sid & Echo are placed 4th and fastest All Malamute Team. Hot on their heals …Kavaanni (brother to Sid & Echo ) what a fantastic start.

We had a wonderful yet hectic season with both of us competing and 8 dogs to keep fit and train, our dogs did us proud with some wonderful wins and placings, when the top AMCUK awards were published we were thrilled to see our dogs listed within the top teams, made of course that bit extra special as they are all homebred, trained and conditioned by ourselves

The festive period approached when a slight mishap in the garden occurred. A knee injury made life rather hard for the next few months, However we spent Christmas day away from the hussle and bustle of festivities in the forest with the dogs.
