We packed up the camper and off to Southern Counties CH Show for the next day, thinking the weekend couldn’t have gone any better.
Up at the break of dawn to get ready our judge for the day was upcoming Gundog specialist Kelly Jenkinson, with all hands on deck it was very busy getting the six dogs ready ringside.

I must express sincere gratitude to Sarah Robinson, Maggie Auty, Wendy Heller & Marina Mangham for helping, I am sure it would have been somewhat chaotic without helping hands, Also to Mark, Gina & Hannah for allowing me to steal their beloved pals for the weekend.
With all the puppies settled into their new homes we focused on the upcoming show season, the first show was WELKS CH Show our judge Alistair Moss where Sadie (Arcticbreeze Outbraker) wins RESERVE BEST BITCH, Her first show after an 18 month break so we were delighted.

Quarter One
A Great start to the year with Bandit happily settled in his new home we trekked off to Manchester Championship show . Delighted that Enzo (Arcticbreeze On Vacation) owned and Handled by Georgina wins BEST OF BREED and a Gundog Group Shortlist. Only a handful of Lagottos in the UK have achieved this so certainly a day to remember. Annie (Arcticbreeze One & Only) in a very strong Open class wins a second place and onto RESERVE BEST BITCH. Class wins for fig, Fergie and Tula made it a day to remember for sure.
A couple of weeks later we welcomed puppies into the household keepng us busy. February saw Bandit make his debut into the show world, with just three shows under his belt he now boasts 2 BEST OF BREEDS & 3 BEST PUPPY IN BREED topped off with 2 GUNDOG PUPPY GROUP placings. Crufts was next on the calendar with only a small representation from our kennel this year and for me I decided not to enter any dogs having the littles at home but we got many respectable placings and all came away smiling.

Quarter Four
September was very busy here with the puppies, lots of visits from their new families, vet checks and teaching them early social skills and familiarity to their surroundings. Around the shows saw some super wins from the gang.
With most of the pups settled in their new homes I managed to get to Midland Counties combined with the Lagotto Club of GB! A huge enter for both the breed specialist judges Ms Becky De Blasi & Mrs Lauren Gilder (Mikette) of over 40 Lagottos each.
At Midland Counties under Judge Rebecca Deblasi, I was delighted to Handle “Ralph” Arcticbreeze Jackpot – Owned By Gina Taylor to BEST DOG, this was made even more special as his owners Gina & Chris had come along to watch, and RESERVE BEST DOG went to Arcticbreeze Turbulence At Allsong Owned By Simon & Lynn Whittick.
I was especially proud to see Arcticbreeze On Vacation also win his class with Arcticbreeze On The Double placing just behind him in 2nd place.
At The Lagotto Club of GB Open 2025 Under Judge Mrs Lauren Gilder (Mikette)
RESERVE BEST DOG went to Arcticbreeze Turbulence At Allsong Owned By Simon & Lynn Whittick
And the RESERVE BEST BITCH went to “Ernt” Arcticbreeze One And Only.
We decided to run on puppy ‘Bandit’ from our Ralph/Sadie Litter so it’s been a fun time watching him develop, tease the Adults and melt everyone’s heart at ring craft and dog training. We had lots of fun at the Ring craft Xmas fun show where Bandit won BEST PUPPY IN SHOW…..What a smashing start !!!

Being on puppy duty I was unable to attend the Lagotto Romagnolo CH Show the following weekend but was delighted to see class wins from all three of my breeding who attended under Breed Club Chairperson Carolyn Atkins Fry. Also resulting in the Stud book number for Ricco. Well done guys. Meanwhile at the double championship show we saw Wendy & Ivy win RESERVE BEST BITCH. A busy January where two ‘ Meet the Breed’ days took place. Wonderful to introduce the dogs to folks interested in the breed and understanding what it is like to be owned by a lagotto. February spent planning our year ahead, lots of training and travel to see fellow breeders & their dogs. A sincere thank you to these wonderful breeders for their hospitality.Great news also that our approved council breeding licence was issued awarding us the highest available rating for standards, care and facilities. Crufts this year saw only a small representation from the ‘Arcticbreeze Team’ for varying reasons but it was a great day for us all regardless. First in the ring I was delighted to show Fig ARCTICBREEZE ON THE DOUBLE AI for Mark & Donna Thomas in a wonderful puppy dog class and although he was a little excited in the atmosphere our judge Gilberto Grandi (the godfather of the breed) forgave this and we were awarded third place. Next I stole again Ralph from Gina Taylor ARCTICBREEZE JACKPOT and he was placed fifth, we were very happy with this result too. I was super proud of Georgina & Enzo ARCTICBREEZE ON VACATION getting a second place in a huge Post graduate class and to finish the day from Ireland our lovely owner Cindy Harrison bought Purdey INT CH ARCTICBREEZE NEW SENSATION over and in a class of international champions placed VHC. As usual it was lovely to see lots of the ‘Arcticbreeze Family’ who had come to support us.
